My friend in Taiwan, he keep Coenobita perlatus more than 10 years and breed successfully. So far the conclusion is that small size crab's adaptability is better. They are healthy even they lost color, so it is OK. Their color will improve gradually. Just DO NOT buy jumbo size. Of course salt water is necessary.
