国天然記念物オカヤドカリ

徳之島町金見海岸で

　【徳之島】徳之島町北東部に位置する金見＝かなみ＝海岸の通称「真崎＝まさき＝浜」。一昨年相次いだ台風の高波の影響で本来の美しい砂浜の景観が一変したが、種保存の自然界の悠久のリズムにしたがって「ザワザワ、カチカチ…」。国指定天然記念物オカヤドカリたちの一斉〝産卵〟の命の営みが今年も始まっている。
